We act as an intermediate between guest houses, bed and breakfasts, hotels and self catering apartments in order to provide our customer with the best opportunities to search and book accommodation online 24 hours 7 days all year round.

Our service is based on information provided. Although we do our best to ensure that all information provided on this website is correct and accurate, we can not guarantee that all information is comprehensive and error-free nor can we be held responsible for interruptions or non-delivery of information.

All prices on the budgetscot.com website are per person per night unless stated otherwise in the confirmation booking email.

Budgetscot require credit card details in order to guarantee your reservation. Your credit card information will be sent directly to the bank for processing. When you make a booking you will automatically enter into an agreement with the accommodation you have chosen.

Be assured that we take responsibility regarding your credit card information very seriously. We use the industry standard Secure Socket Layer technology to encrypt your credit card details. Therefore we can guarantee that every transaction made is 100% safe and we will reimburse the first 50 Pounds should your credit card be misused or abused due to budgetscot.com. The credit card company is obliged to pay the remainder.

Budget Directory Ltd is a booking agent for accommodation. Your contract for the accommodation that you wish to book  will be with the applicable accommodation provider and not with Budget Directory Ltd. In many cases, this will mean that there are additional terms and conditions governing the contract as each provider will have its own terms.

All queries, questions and issues with the rooms you book via BudgetScot should be directed to the accommodation provider with which you enter into a contract.

To make a booking you will be asked to submit personal information ("Personal Informatio") about yourself such as your name, email address, telephone number and credit card details. Whenever you provide such personal information, BudgetScot will collate and use such personal information in booking the room and save the detail in our secure system.  BudgetScot will confirm your booking and issue you with an email confirmation.

When you reserve accommodation using our Site, you are entering into a legally binding contract with the accommodation provider, and not budgetscot.com. We simply act as an agent who arranges the booking and are not a party to the booking contract. The contract will be subject to the accommodation provider’s policy and we will arrange for the terms to be provided to you on request.

We take the privacy of our visitors and our customers very seriously. The only time we collect information about you is when you enquire about particular accommodation, whether through the site, by e-mail or otherwise. We will store this information securely and will use it to arrange your reservation and for related purposes. We may also use this information for marketing purposes.

We will not use your information for any other purposes and will only pass it on to those providers who hold reservations for you. So, for example, we will send the provider your name, e-mail address, home address and telephone number. We provide your credit card details to secure your booking.

When you submit an enquiry to budgetscot, we will respond to you by e-mail to confirm the accommodation availablity with the details and total cost of stay. You need to press the confirm link to book the accommodation and  you should let us know as soon as possible, preferably by e-mail. We will then pass your details to the provider who will confirm your reservation and conclude the contract.

We will then send you a Reservation Confirmation email to confirm the details of your booking.

The cost of your stay will appear at the bottom of the email offer by the accommodation provider.  The cost will be not changed when the booking is confimed.

You are  required to pay a deposit of of the total cost of the booking of your accommodation to secure your reservation. The deposit can be paid by credit card or cheque made payable to  Budgetscot.com and it is non refundable when the accommodation is booked.

Any accommodation that you book using the site will be subject to the terms and conditions of the accommodation provider. This will include the balance of the reservation price which must be paid according to the accommodation provider’s own terms for payment. The accommodation provider has the legal right to request money in advance or at the check-in date. 

Most of the accommodation providers charge a fee for cancellations or changes to reservations.  Also some providers may not issue any refunds for cancelled or altered arrangements. Budgetscot.com has no control over such matters. You will normally be charged for at least your first night's stay if you cancel your reservation within 48 hours of the day on which you are due to arrive. If you have any queries or concerns regarding the accommodation you should contact the accommodation provider directly. Their contact details will be detailed on the Reservation form.

BudgetScot may provide hyperlinks or pointers to other websites maintained by third parties which we think may be of interest to visitors of the Site.
