Purple Parking provides secure airport parking at all of the UK's major airports, including Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Manchester and Edinburgh. They also provide a park and ride service and meet and greet services. Chauffer driven cars and car rental are also available.
The park and ride service allows you to leave your car in a secure car park and be transported to your airport terminal, with no luggage restrictions. Edinburgh’s Purple Parking car park is located just beside the main airport terminal and a courtesy bus service is provided to the departures hall. Purple Parking car parks are open every day of the year. Cancellations must be made within twenty four hours of the arrival date and a £25 charge will be made if cancellations are made after this period. No shows will be charged in full.

Albert Plesman is a foounder of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines on 7th September 1919. After a successful and well-visited airline exhibition in the year 1918, the former pilot Albert Plesman made the excellent idea of founding an airline. The capital of the airline amounted st the begining was 1.2 million Gulden and was contributed by many wealthy Dutch businessmen. Albert Plesman was elected as the president of KLM’s first founder. The first flight took place on 17th May 1920 with the DeHavilland D.H.16, which flew from London to Amsterdam and along with newspapers also had English journalists on board. KLM was very quickly able to buy many aircraft from the Dutch aeroplane manufacturer Fokker.
The KLM was also the first airline to order the larger Boeing aircraft in USA-Seattle in 1971 for use in passenger transport. The airline has been enjoying successful flight and then in the summer 2004 KLM had joined with AIR France. These two excellent and prestigious European airlines have since then represented the largest operating airline in Europe and, counting the number of flight miles, are also the fourth largest in the world.
