There are dining areas and well-equipped kitchens featuring microwaves, cookers and washing machines. Both cottages have two double bedrooms, one with twin beds, and the other with a double bed. There is also double sofa bed in the Swallow Cottage’s lounge.

We are in the perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life but are still within easy reach of Edinburgh and Glasgow. The train station is only five minutes walk from Smithy Brae and a five minute drive from Swallow Cottage, where you will find frequent services to both cities. There are great walks on the doorstep and you can enjoy a range of outdoor pursuits including bird watching, horse riding, fishing and golf.
