The house is a listed building which means that it keeps many of the original features such as a magnificently lit cupola that dominates the main staircase and gives the house a light spaciousness. Other original features include a mosaic-tiled entrance and vestibule, ornate cornicing and a spectacular plasterwork thistle ceiling in the breakfast room. There is original woodwork throughout the guestrooms as well, with large Canadian pine doors, panelling and dados.

All of the bedrooms at Dunedin Guest House have private en-suite bathrooms. Additional facilities include a television, tea and coffee making facilities, and a hairdryer. Ironing facilities are available at reception. The Guest House is non-smoking throughout. Single, Double, Twin and Family rooms are available.

There are many events to enjoy throughout the year in Edinburgh, such as the Military Tattoo, the Fringe Festival and the International Jazz Festival. Even when one of these fantastic events is not taking place there is still plenty to see and do in Edinburgh, including Edinburgh Castle, Prince’s Street, the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood Palace.
