To the Proprietors of Adam Drysdale House, I was made very comfortable during my stay in your House; breakfasts were varied, ample and delicious. Also appreciated was the information provided about transport, local restaurants etc. I would certainly recommend your establishment to anyone visiting Edinburgh. The only downside was with my booking which apparently wasn\'t directly with you. This meant that I was not provided with the correct address for the House and I and the taxi driver who brought me from the airport had considerable difficulty in locating you. Yours sincerely, Judith Woodward.

Adam Drysdale was absolutely the best stay of our ten days in the UK. Karen was warm and wonderful, a great conversationalist, extremely helpful and served up a great Scottish breakfast complete with haggis. I was staying with my husband and my mother-in-law. We occupied two thoughtfully furnished rooms and it was a pleasure to return to the house in the evening, with its candles and fragrances. It\'s a great place, with welcoming hosts and I would recommend it any day.

Very enjoyable stay in a convenient location frr my conference. The staff were very friendly and elpful adn the food was very welcomed in the morning. The only problem was the lack of internet in the rooms which emant I had to come down to the reeption to get online. Other than that, it was a very good experience.

WE REALLY RECOMMEND THE ACCOMODATION !!! We stayed at the Adam Drysdale House for a week (October) and one thing is sure: We really enjoyed our stay. Although the hotel was being renovated, Karen (the new owner) cared for us and made great changes. It will be awesome when the renovation is complete. Best wishes from Germany to Karen...and Roddy :) See you hopefully soon. Sabrina and Kathie

Volgens ons typisch Scotts. Bedden kunnen wel beter en het mag ook wel gerenoveerd worden.

It was a Great and Warm stay in Adam Drysdale House. Beside the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, it provided very good Scottish breakfast during my 6 days stay. Plus, the boss Roddy is a nice and friendly person. The stay in Adam Drysdale House is definitely value worthy.

Here it is: We really enjoyed our stay! Roddy is wonderful; friendly, helpful, everything you could want in a B&B host. The breakfasts were very good. While I\'m not in any great hurry to eat haggis again, I\'m glad I got to try it! We also found the location to be very convenient. I\'ve already recommended Adam Drysdale House to my brother, who may be spending a night in Edinburgh in September. Cathy Haar I\'m not including directions because we took a taxi from the train station.

This was my second time staying in the Adam Drysdale B&B. It is centrally located and within walking distance to Edinburgh city centre. The room is very well maintained; the beds are made daily and fresh towels provided also. There is a varied selection to choose from for breakfast. The owner is also more than happy to provide you with information on what to see while in Edinburgh. Overall the Adam Drysdale house is a friendly and welcoming place.

Yes, the service was very friendly and the rooms were clean. The B&B was in a very nice location, within walking distance to the city centre. There was a very nice breakfast each morning with many selections and the owners would cook you whatever you wanted from their menu. I was very pleased and would recommend this place to friends. The price was very decent and fair as well.

The service was really good nd the host are really friendly. I would stay again in Adam Drysdale House and recommend it to others. What was a little unsatisfying, was that the price in the booking confirmation was not the price we had to pay. We had to pay twice the price that was announced in the booking confirmation.

We had a great stay at the Adam Drysdale House, a very spacious room and bath for British. The owners were wonderful and went above and beyond in being helpful. They told us about restaurants, pubs and buses nearby, very nice people. They took time to stop and chat with people staying in the morning at breakfast.

The B&B was in a perfect location with an easy 10 minute walk into the city centre. The room was reasonably small but had good facilities and was perfectly adequate for a couple of days. The freshly cooked breakfast was very nice and all of the staff were friendly and attentive.

Thought Roddy was very hospitable, lovely breakfast, but found the noise in the bedroom from the traffic pretty annoying, so maybe putting in double glazing would help and breakfast could be a bit later on a sunday, so maybe 9-11am. Other then that, nice place!

First of all, a very, very friendly welcome. Rooms were clean and big enough. A good variety of fruits, yogurts and of course a well cooked full breakfast, delicious¡¡¡ But the best of this house is Roddy, he\'s very helpful and made us to feel at home. Thanks from Spain. We really hope to come back¡¡

I enjoyed my stay at the Adam Drysdale House. The service was friendly and very helpful and everything clean and breakfast was lovely, although I have considered whether it is possible to sue for the unwanted weight gain! The only real criticism I would make is that at the time of year we were there, daylight ends late (10.30p.m.) and came very very early 4.30a.m. The early morning daylight particularly was a problem everywhere we stayed. When daylight came, my bodyclock responded and we were awake. This made for very short nightime sleep and rather tired feeling days. Blackout lining on the curtains would be of significant help. For a country with such long days at that time of the year, I am somewhat surprised that blackout lining on curtains is not standard. Thanks for our time there, I would be happy to recommend to anyone despite the diet considerations!.

We were very happy to have stayed at Adams Drysdale Bed and Breakfast after our long trip from the United States. We were welcomed very warmly by Roddy. The room was very sufficient and clean. The breakfast was delicious and certainly substancial for our day of sightseeing. Roddy was very helpful in giving directions and suggestions for places to see while we were in Edinburgh. We will recommend Adams Drysdale to others!

We were delighted to be given the use of the attached cottage to the Adam Drysdale. For 4 girls who just wanted a weekend away this was perfect. The hosts prvided a lovely breakfast which went down very well!Everyone talks about decor being \"tired\" and yes I suppose this was, but what do you want really? The beds were clean, the cost very reasonable, and situated realy close to the centre.Fab weekend all round.

Just to prove write ups can be deceptive. Not the nicest place to stay. The room was cramped and the window broken. On a plus point the breakfast was ok, and the location was close to the city centre.

I stayed at Adam Drysdale from 14th to 21st May 2008. I had a lovely room, very clean and daily cleaning and tidying carried out. The service was excellent, Roddy and his wife very friendly and helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The catering was excellent also - breakfast was wonderful every day, eveyone was catered for, again nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Adam Drysdale House as a place to stay and hope to be able to stay there again when I next have to be in Edinburgh.

If you are on a budget I can recommend this is a friendly, cheerful and hospitable guest house. The owner made us feel very welcome and the breakfast was absolutely superb and worth it by itself! It hit our budget perfectly and the rooms were spotless. My wife and I felt very welcome. Many thanks for making our weekend memorable.
